In a sensational exposé press conference held today, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) chairman BR Naidu along with the other members unveiled shocking facts surrounding the use of adulterated ghee in the sacred Srivari Laddu during the YSRCP regime, exposing a grave act of sacrilege and systematic exploitation of one of Hinduism’s holiest institutions.
Addressing the media at the Padmavati Rest House in Tirupati, TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu stated that attempts are being made to mislead devotees by falsely claiming that the ghee adulteration issue has received a “clean chit.” “This is completely false. The SIT chargesheet itself clearly records that adulteration took place, and that ghee procurement tender norms were deliberately violated to benefit select entities,” the Chairman said. He revealed that under Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s government, ghee procurement tenders were manipulated, eligibility conditions were altered, and contracts were awarded to ineligible and incapable firms. “Companies with no cattle, no production facilities, and no capacity to manufacture pure ghee were handed tenders purely for commissions,” he alleged. As a result, nearly 60 lakh kilograms of adulterated ghee, valued at approximately Rs 250 crore, was procured by TTD. Tests conducted by the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) confirmed the presence of animal fat in the ghee supplied during the YSRCP tenure. B.R. Naidu said this adulterated ghee was used to prepare nearly 20 crore Srivari Laddus, amounting to one of the most shocking acts of sacrilege in the history of Tirumala.
