Prior to Trump’s swearing-in, J.D. Vance took the oath as Vice President of the United States. Trump and outgoing President Joe Biden arrived together at the Capitol from the White House for the ceremony. Vice President-elect J.D. Vance was accompanied by outgoing Vice President Kamala Harris.
