In this tragic road incident involving an autorickshaw and a car at 8:30 a.m. in the morning on Sunday, it left one child dead and four others injured. The cause of the accident was that the car rammed into an autorickshaw on the Tenali flyover in Mangalagiri. State Welfare Minister S. Savitha happened to witness the collision and so stopped and provided first aid to the victims. She saw that the injured were rushed to the hospital for proper treatment and subsequently issued directives to the authorities to ensure the best possible treatment for them.
In another road accident in Eluru district today, July 8, three people, including two women and a boy, died; Two others were critically injured. The car smashed into a truck at Lakshminagar in the district’s mandal. The deceased were identified as Rachabattuni Bhagyasree, 26, and Bomma Kamladevi, 53, from Bhimavaram of West Godavari district, who were coming to Rajavolu from Hyderabad.
Soon after the report, Bhimadolu Circle Inspector Ravikumar and Sub Inspector Satish reached the spot. Police have registered a case and an investigation is underway.
