Lucknow witnessed three tragic road accidents over the weekend, claiming the lives of three individuals, including a biker, an electrician, and a youth.

Incident 1: Biker Killed in Vibhuti Khand

On Saturday night, a 22-year-old bike rider, Gautam from Aliganj, lost his life after being hit by a four-wheeler near a prominent sweet shop under Vibhuti Khand police limits.

  • Time of Incident: 10:30 PM
  • Response: Gautam was rushed to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, where he was declared dead by doctors.
  • Investigation: “The accused is being identified based on CCTV footage,” police stated.

Incident 2: Electrician Found Injured on Kisan Path

On Sunday, an electrician named Ashish Gautam, a resident of the PGI area, was found injured on Kisan Path near Mouiddipur Sarsawan village.

  • Response: Police rushed the injured man to the PGI trauma centre, where doctors pronounced him dead.

Incident 3: Youth Dies in BKT Area

In the third accident, Manoj Rawat, 25, died on Sunday after his bike was struck by a speeding, unidentified car in the Bakshi Ka Talab (BKT) area.

  • Police Action: A case has been registered under sections 281/125B/106(1)/324 (4) of the BNS at the BKT police station.

These back-to-back incidents highlight the urgent need for improved road safety measures in Lucknow. Police investigations are ongoing to identify and apprehend the accused drivers.
