The rural areas of Chhattisgarh have been forced to take strict actions to curb the addition of gaming and mobile. The Kabirdham district's Gahirabhedi Panchayat passed a new rule. They imposed a fine of Rs. 5,000 on the parents if their child is caught playing PUNG/BGMI. The Village Kotwars makes regular announcements three times a month to make sure the residents are aware of this rule. In addition, anyone who reports the violations will be rewarded with Rs. 1,000 if the tip-off leads to an action.

Sarpanch Bedbai Porte explained that the decision is taken in the light of increasing gaming and mobile addiction and guides them back towards education and physical activities like exercise and playing outdoor games. This decision aims to reduce the screen time of little children.

On the other hand, in Rajnandgaon district’s Mathaldabari Panchayat, the goal is to reduce the illegal sales of alcohol and public drinking. A fine of Rs. 31,000 and legal action can be imposed on anyone who is caught selling liquor without permission. Similarly, public consumption of alcohol can be fined up to Rs. 10,000 as a penalty. The villagers also pledged to stop drinking alcohol as a part of this initiative
