Thieves Kill Hyderabad Woman with Pressure Cooker, Slit her Throat, Showered Before Leaving

A 50-year-old woman, Renu Agarwal, was discovered dead with stab wounds in her Kukatpally residence. Police suspect her recently hired house help and an accomplice, investigating the crime using CCTV footage and forensic evidence.

A 50-year-old woman, Renu Agarwal, was found dead with several stab wounds in her home at the Swan Lake Condominium gated community complex in Kukatpally. Hyderabad, on Wednesday. Renu was staying with her husband and son, who have a steel business.

Police had been informed of the attack after Renu failed to receive repeated calls. On arriving home, her family forced open the door and found her in a blood pool.

The attackers had bound Renu's hands and legs and attacked her with a knife and scissors, according to authorities, inflicting fatal wounds. A pressure cooker was also allegedly used in the attack.

The suspects even bathed before leaving, maybe to destroy evidence," said a police official. Cash and gold jewellery were said to have been robbed from the apartment.

Suspects and CCTV Evidence

The domestic help, Harsha, 20, who had been working for just 10 days, is suspected of being involved in the crime. His friend Roshan, visible on CCTV, might have helped carry out the attack.

Telling ANI, a police officer stated. "Last night, the Kukatpally police received a tip regarding a 50-year-old woman being killed. Our inspector and team went to the place and found the woman dead with stab wounds."

"Suspicion is about a house help who had come from Jharkhand, and another individual," the officer added.

Investigation Underway

The officials have taken fingerprints and are currently analyzing the CCTV footage from various places to trace the offenders. A case has been registered under the applicable sections of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita (BHS).

Special teams are on the move to trace and arrest the culprits, and the police is verifying if the accused had any past criminal records.
