Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav thanked Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for inviting him to the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ and also congratulated Rahul Gandhi for the success of the yatra.
“Thank you for inviting me to ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’, and congratulations on the success of the movement. India is not just a geographical entity, but it is also about love, non-violence, sympathy, cooperation, and harmony which keeps it together. I hope the yatra, launched to protect our national ethos and identity, will achieve the objective,” SP chief Yadav tweeted.
Earlier on 24 December ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ rolled into Delhi. So far Bharat Jodo Yatra has covered 10 states and currently, it is on a nine-day winter break and from 3 January the yatra will begin from Uttar Pradesh. On 20 January the yatra will reach Jammu and Kashmir.
Meanwhile, on 7 September 3,250-km-long yatra was started from Kanyakumari and so far, the yatra has covered Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Haryana, Delhi.
However, as per Congress Rahul Gandhi led Bharat Jodo Yatra is the longest foot march which is undertaken by a politician in Indian political history.
