Telangana’s Cyberabad police recovered a large number of ‘ganja’ and ‘ganja-laced’ chocolates in Rangaredddy district on Tuesday. The police also apprehended one suspect in the unlawful sale of ‘ganja’ and ganja-infused chocolates in the region.
The accused has been identified as Saurab Kumar Yadav (20), a Bihar resident.
According to the Cyberabad police, “On credible information of SOT Rajendranagar team caught Saurab Kumar Yadav, a youth from Bihar, who was illegally selling ganja and ganja chocolates. A total of 580 grams of ganja (30 cannabis packets) and 92 (420 grams) ganja chocolates were seized.”
The accused, Saurab Kumar, obtained ganja and ganja-laced chocolates from the absconding supplier, Subodh Singh of Madhepura, Bihar. According to the police, he sold ‘ganja’ chocolates in Moinabad.
At the same time, police apprehended Mujtaba Ali Khan, who is accused of stealing mobile phones in ten cases in Hyderabad, and discovered two stolen phones while purchasing Ganja. According to police officials, the entire value of the possessions is roughly Rs. 80,000, and the case is being investigated by Mokila Police. More information is needed.
