On Sunday morning, a lorry suddenly caught a massive fire at the Nayara petrol pump in the Bhuvanagari district of Telangana. It caused panic among the surrounding people. Fortunately, there were no casualties in the incident.
Thanks to the swift action taken by the staff members at the petrol station, the flames from the fire were swiftly extinguished using four to five fire extinguishers. This quick response prevented a significant disaster that might have resulted in loss of life.
Sai Kumar, the Station Fire Officer at Bhuvanagiri Fire Station, spoke to ANI and confirmed, “The lorry arrived at the petrol pump for fueling and suddenly caught fire. The petrol pump employees and others present at the spot responded quickly and doused the fire with the help of 4-5 fire extinguishers. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported in the incident. By the time we received the information, the fire was already put off.”
It is said that the ignition resulted from a blast within the diesel reservoir. As per the details obtained, the event transpired during the morning hours of Sunday, approximately at 10 o’clock. Upon notification to the fire brigade, it was found that the blaze had been extinguished before their arrival.
