Tamil Nadu will support PM Modi this time, says K Annamalai

Tamil Nadu BJP state president K Annamalai has been busy with his En Mann, En Makkal padayatra but took time out on Tuesday to speak to the media. As known, PM Narendra Modi will be attending and addressing the February 25 rally which will coincide with Annamalai’s padayatra conclusion. The rally will be held at Palladam in Tirupur and massive crowds are expected.

Annamalai told reporters, “Almost 20 days are still left for the Yatra to end and post that there is election work. Everyone would be assigned some work and I have been directed by the party to tour across the state and strengthen the party.” He also said that he will stand for the Lok Sabha elections if asked by the party. Speaking about the rally, he stated, “We have readied a separate ground at Palladam for PM Modi’s rally. Around 10 lakh people including the public and BJP members are expected to take part in the closing ceremony of the Yatra. We are all getting ready for the election. There is no doubt that it will be an ezhuchi maanadu (awakening conference).”

The saffron party leader reiterated that PM Modi would be re-elected and BJP would be the leading party in numerous places.
Annamalai said, “Everyone knows Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to be elected again.”

The BJP leader took to social media on Wednesday to slam the Tamil Nadu government on corruption. HE wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “There is no money in the treasury to run the Tamil Nadu government. Because the Tamil Nadu government is reeling under a debt of eight lakh crore rupees. In the 32 months since DMK came to power, it has taken new loans of two lakh sixty nine thousand crores. On every ration card in Tamil Nadu, on every family, there is a debt burden of three lakh twenty thousand rupees. In another year, there will be no money to pay government employees. All because of DMK’s corruption. Corruption in all sectors.”

He added, “There is no doubt that in the upcoming parliamentary elections, the National Democratic Alliance led by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India @narendramodi. It is certain that Tamil Nadu will also strengthen our Prime Minister’s hands this time.”
