Taking to X, she said, ‘My heartiest congratulations to Team India for winning the T20 World Cup. With the never-say-die spirit, the team sailed through difficult situations and demonstrated outstanding skills throughout the tournament. It was an extraordinary victory in the final match. Well done, Team India! We are proud of you!’
Besides Droupadi Murmu, other political leaders like Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Leader of Opposition also congratulated the team for their win. They also praised the team of their never-up attitude team.
Union Minister Amit Shah also offered his congratulations to the team, and said, this is a glorious moment for the country and with their ‘unmatched team spirit and sportsmanship’, players performed exceptionally this tournament.
Defence minister Rajnath Singh declared, that this win will serve as a motivating factor for many young and upcoming cricketers.
