Suspected Terrorists tried to Target Army Post in Surankote with Twin Grenades

Terrorist tried to attack Indian Army installation in Poonch, suspected terrorists lobbed a grenade attack on an Indian Army post in Surankote late Tuesday night. However, their effort was thwarted as both grenades failed to penetrate the heavily guarded perimeter.

According to Army sources, the assailants lobbed two grenades toward the post. One exploded outside the post, causing a loud detonation but no injuries or damage. The other grenade failed to detonate, as its pin became stuck with the lever, rendering it a dud. The pin from the exploded grenade was recovered during a meticulous sweep of the area by Army personnel.

Security forces have since intensified surveillance in the region, ensuring enhanced protection against such attempts. Security forces have also launched a massive anti terror hunt in the area to trace the terrorist. The attack is viewed as part of the ongoing efforts by Pakistan and its proxy terrorist elements to disrupt peace in Jammu and Kashmir.

The Army remains steadfast in its mission to secure the region and has launched a thorough investigation to trace the perpetrators and their networks.
