In Jammu and Kashmir’s Akhnoor sector, at least three to four suspected terrorists reportedly opened fire on Indian Army vehicles in the Jogwan area on Monday morning. According to media sources, while there were no casualties from the shooting, the Army has launched an extensive search operation in the Jammu region to locate the attackers.
The incident occurred around 7:25 am, with terrorists allegedly firing 15-20 rounds at military vehicles, including an ambulance, in the Battal area close to the Shivassan temple in Jogwan.
Additionally, the terrorists are reported to have defaced deity idols at the Hassan temple in the vicinity, as per a News18 report.
Following the attack, the Army cordoned off the area and initiated a search operation, though they have “yet to establish contact with the terrorists,” according to the report.
