Supreme Court Dismisses Plea Seeking Arvind Kejriwal’s Removal As Chief Minister

Supreme Court has recently, dismissed the plea that sought the removal of Arvind Kejriwal from CM’s position in Delhi on Monday.

In response, the apex court declared, that it is now upto Delhi’s LG, to act, we won’t intervene this time.

The court further said that it’s a matter of propriety, but also opined that there is no existence of legal right to seek Kejriwal’s removal as chief minister after his arrest.

“When the matter was being heard we had posed the same question to them. Ultimately, it is a matter of propriety and there is no legal right.”

The highest court was currently hearing Kanti Bhati’s plea, who challenged the April 10th decision of Delhi’s high court, as they earlier dismissed the plea.
