A clip of a man in a compromising position with a woman at a cremation ground in Uttar Pradesh has gone viral on social media. The alleged incident took place in the crematorium of Kailawan village under Shikarpur Kotwali area of Bulandshahr district. The man is reportedly a local BJP leader.
The locals reportedly became suspicious after seeing a vehicle parked at the cremation ground. Intrigued by the strange presence of a vehicle there, they decided to check what was going on. Upon arriving at the vehicle, they supposedly found a man and a woman inside.
Eyewitnesses said the locals instructed the man to open the door of the car. After doing this, he was allegedly found in an uncouth position with the woman. There has since been a video recording of the incident that has gone viral on social media.
Watch:
The video captures the man, half-clothed, exiting the vehicle as the woman in the vehicle attempts to cover her face using a scarf. Although the video seems to be clipped when being shot, bits of what can be described as a conversation can be heard but not clearly.
In the video, the man can be spotted begging the crowd, even touching their feet. He is heard murmuring, "Bhaiya sorry… bhai tumhare paer padta hoon (Brother, sorry. I will touch your feet)," as he pleaded for pardon.
An NDTV report named the man Rahul Balmiki, a BJP leader who is the party's Scheduled Caste Morcha district minister. Even though the video went viral, the police have not acted yet, and the Shikarpur police did not file an official case.
Rahul Balmiki has gone underground to prevent more embarrassment and backlash after the incident, NDTV further reported.
This is not the first instance of such a case against a political personality having come to the forefront.
In May, a clip went viral of a young couple allegedly committing an obscene act within a car on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway at Mandsaur district of Madhya Pradesh, some 200 km from Indore.
After the video spread online, the man was identified as BJP leader Manoharlal Dhakad, a resident of Mandsaur.
Following the outrage, he was removed from his position as national secretary of the Dhakad Mahasabha, an organisation registered in Ujjain.
