The news of marriage of  Olympic gold medalist javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra with Himani Mor- a talented tennis player from Haryana, announced through Neeraj’s social media post, has created a buzz across platforms as fans express their excitement and curiosity about the bride. Neeraj shared heartfelt photos from their wedding on Sunday, January 19, captioning them: “Started a new chapter of life with my family. Grateful for every blessing that brought us to this moment together. Bound by love, happily ever after.”
The ceremony was reportedly  held from January 14 to 16 in Himachal Pradesh, with close family members in attendance. Interestingly, it is learnt that the priest officiating the wedding was unaware of Neeraj’s identity.

Who is Himani Mor?

Himani Mor, 25, hails from Sonipat, Haryana. She attended Little Angels School in Sonipat, the same school as Indian tennis player Sumit Nagal. Himani excelled both academically and athletically. She graduated from Miranda House, Delhi University, with a degree in Political Science and Physical Education before moving to the United States to pursue further studies. Currently, Himani is completing a Master’s in Sports Management at Franklin Pierce University in New Hampshire. Her tennis career has been remarkable, with her highest All India Tennis Association (AITA) rankings in 2018 reaching 42 in singles and 27 in doubles. She also spent 14 weeks in the Top 30 of AITA Women’s Doubles rankings, earning her reputation as one of Haryana’s finest tennis players.  Himani is also an assistant coach for women’s tennis at Amherst College in Massachusetts, balancing her academic and professional commitments.
A Perfect Sporting Match: The couple reportedly met in the US and quickly formed a connection.  Neeraj, 27, who won gold at the Tokyo Olympics and silver at the 2023 World Athletics Championships, sought his family’s approval before taking this big step. Family members confirmed that the couple has now left for their honeymoon.  Fans and well-wishers across the country have showered the couple with love and blessings as they embark on this new journey together. It is learnt that the family members were planning a grand ceremony for the couple at Neeraj’s native village Khandra of Panipat district.
