Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman broke away from the trend of extravagant destination weddings by hosting a simple ceremony for her daughter at home in Bengaluru.
The wedding ceremony in Bengaluru was a simple affair attended by close family and friends, with no notable political figures present.
The wedding of Ms. Sitharaman’s daughter, Parakala Vangamayi, and Prateek, followed the traditional Brahmin customs. Seers from Udupi Adamaru Mutt blessed the couple on their special day.
For the wedding, the bride chose to wear a beautiful pink saree with a green blouse, while the groom opted for a white pancha and shawl. Ms. Sitharaman, the mother of the bride, adorned herself in a Molakalmuru saree. The wedding ceremony followed the Vedic rituals of the Adamaru Mutt.
