The fate of candidates selected for the Sub-Inspector (SI) Recruitment 2021 by the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) could be determined on Thursday, as the government is set to present its response in the Rajasthan High Court. Jogaram Patel Refrains From Speculation Amid Legal Proceedings
Law Minister Jogaram Patel, while addressing the issue, stated that the government’s stance would be made clear through its court submission. He refrained from commenting further, citing the ongoing legal proceedings. Patel emphasised that it would be inappropriate to speculate on the matter while it is still in the court’s hands.
Kirodi Lal Meena Advocates For Recruitment Cancellation
Meanwhile, Cabinet Minister Kirodi Lal Meena expressed strong opinions regarding the cancellation of the recruitment. On Wednesday, Meena said that all relevant bodies, including the Special Operations Group (SOG) and the Police Headquarters, had recommended the cancellation. He also pointed out that the Attorney General and the Cabinet Sub-Committee had expressed similar views, suggesting that the government was likely to accept this recommendation. Meena emphasised that the government’s position was clear — the examination should be annulled.
Delay In Submitting Government’s Response To High Court
However, Meena was also questioned about the delay in submitting the government’s response to the High Court, which had given a two-week deadline that had passed by six weeks. Meena explained that the government had been preoccupied with other significant events, such as the Rising Rajasthan Summit, the visits of the Prime Minister, and elections for seven seats, which might have contributed to the delay.
