The accused, Aaftab Amin Poonawala, took a polygraph and underwent a narco-analysis test; reportedly, neither revealed any new information, and he provided similar answers to the questions they asked about the case’s background.
Aaftab was completely cooperative during both his polygraph and narco tests, according to sources. It does not add any new information to the narrative, according to insiders, who noted that an early investigation revealed that he provided similar responses during both exams. Aaftab admitted during the tests that he had murdered Shradha and had dumped her body parts in the city’s forests.
The DNA report of Shradha Walkar is also anticipated next week, according to the police, who also stated that specific bones found in the forest so far will be examined and confirmed before doctors examine her and confirm her demise.
“The quantum and quality of specific bones will help doctors analyse and confirm whether Sharddha is actually dead or not,” said the senior official.
Police are yet to find the skull of Shradha and other remaining parts of the body, even as a search is going on for the same.
Police said, “We have enough evidence to prove Poonawala guilty and are awaiting digital footprints and evidence to correlate and connect the dots between the missing links so far.”
Police claimed to have found additional evidence, but it is currently confidential because it could jeopardise the ongoing investigation.
