Services dispute: BJP claims that Centre’s ordinance important to uphold Delhi’s dignity

The BJP applauded the Centre’s law governing the transfer and posting of bureaucrats in Delhi, accusing the Kejriwal administration of intimidating employees and misusing its authority in light of a recent Supreme Court decision on services-related issues.

Virendra Sachdeva, the head of the Delhi BJP, stated during a news conference that the ordinance was essential for upholding Delhi’s honour and safeguarding the rights of its citizens.

On the other hand AAP leader Sanjay Singh allegedly said, “Prime Minister Modi is so scared of Arvind Kejriwal, such a popular leader who was elected by the people of Delhi with a huge majority. No matter what happens, he(PM) doesn’t want to let them work, he has to stop all the works. The decision of the five judges of the constitutional bench of the Supreme Court comes unanimously and it is said that the elected government will have the right to transfer posting. But the central government reverses that decision of the Supreme Court with a black and Tughlaq ordinance.”

He further said, “This question is not only about Kejriwal or AAP, this question is about the world’s biggest democracy and Babasaheb’s constitution whether it will survive or not. It is a state of emergency that you are overturning the court’s decision.”After the court’s decision, CM Kejriwal had said that the role of the Prime Minister should be that of a father. But if a father is bent on the destruction of his child, then what will be the condition of the country can be understood.

In order to transfer Group-A officers from the DANICS cadre and initiate disciplinary actions against them, the Centre adopted an ordinance on Friday.
