A gangster identified as Inderpreet Singh, also known as Perry, was shot dead on Monday night in Chandigarh’s Sector 26. According to police, three attackers fired at Perry while he was inside his car. Perry, who was linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, lived in Sector 33. He was rushed to PGI Hospital in a critical condition, where doctors later confirmed his death. A full investigation is now underway.
Police officials said that around nine shots were fired, and investigators recovered eight empty shells and one live cartridge from the crime scene. A preliminary check showed four to five bullet injuries on Perry’s body. Authorities added that the exact cause of death and other medical details will be known only after the post-mortem examination.

Gang Rivalry Behind the Killing
Investigators believe the murder may be tied to ongoing gang disputes, as Perry had multiple criminal cases registered against him. Police said they are examining every angle, including whether rival gangs were involved in planning the attack. A forensic team is collecting evidence from the site, and CCTV footage from nearby areas is being reviewed. Perry’s body has been kept at PGI, Chandigarh, for post-mortem procedures.
Social Media Account Claims Responsibility
Soon after the incident, a social media post allegedly shared using the names of gangsters Aarzoo Bishnoi and Hari Boxer claimed that Perry was killed for “betraying” the gang and supporting their rival, Brar.
The post read:

First, he tried to attack our Hari Bhai and later had Sippa Bhai murdered. And from today, we warn everyone that anyone who helps them in even the smallest task will be killed. And the bookies, the club owners, the people who give them money, we won’t ask them, we will reach them all by phone and kill them. No matter which country they are in, we will reach everyone!
