School Holiday on 25 November: It will be a quiet, reflective day across several Indian states on the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. Delhi, along with parts of NCR and northern India, will observe the day as a public holiday. Schools and government offices will observe special schedules on this day. Weather-related warnings in southern states have also triggered additional closures.
The Government of Delhi has declared a public holiday in honor of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji on November 25. All the schools, including government as well as many private, would remain closed. The government offices will also remain closed. However, essential services will function normally.
The holiday of Shaheedi Diwas has now been shifted for Uttar Pradesh to November 25. Schools in Noida and Ghaziabad are likely to follow the revised schedule and will remain closed. While formal circulars are expected from the respective institutions, closures across NCR are widely expected.

The rainfall caused by the cyclone has thrown normal life out of gear in Tamil Nadu. Schools remained closed on Monday in several districts including Chennai, Thanjavur, Nagapattinam, Tiruvarur and Tiruchi. Authorities are likely to extend the closure to November 25 in various districts with heavy rain continuing and warnings from IMD.
While Karnataka has not announced a state holiday, districts experiencing severe rainfall because of the developing cyclone along the coast and in the south might announce local orders. Parents are requested to follow district announcements as these decisions will vary in response to weather conditions.
