The Supreme Court on Monday extended interim bail to former Delhi minister Satyendra Jain on medical grounds till October 8 in a money laundering case. A bench of Justice A.S. Bopanna and Bela M. Trivedi has listed the matter for further hearing on 9 October.
Jain has undergone surgery on 21 July. The interim bail given to Jain on medical grounds has been extended from time to time. Previously on 26 May, the top court ranted interim bail to Satyendra Jain for six weeks in the money laundering case, but imposed various conditions including neither to talk with the media nor to leave Delhi without permission.
The top court also gave Jain an option for choosing any hospital of his choice for his medical treatment. The top court made it clear that interim bail is considered on medical grounds.
