Amid the ongoing controversy surrounding India’s Got Latent, comedian Samay Raina’s Unfiltered shows at Delhi’s Talkatora Stadium on March 21 and 23 have been cancelled.

The shows were marked as sold out on BookMyShow, but just days before the scheduled performances, the ticketing platform sent messages to attendees announcing the cancellations.

BookMyShow Confirms Cancellation

On Saturday, BookMyShow sent a notification to ticket holders, stating:

“Your Samay Raina Unfiltered – Talkatora Stadium Show scheduled on Fri Mar 21 2025 (or Sun Mar 23 2025) 7:00 PM at Talkatora Stadium Delhi has been cancelled. Sorry for the inconvenience caused. We have processed the refund for the amount…The refund should reflect in 7 to 10 working days.”

Neither BookMyShow nor Samay Raina has provided a specific reason for the cancellation.

Controversy Surrounding India’s Got Latent

The cancellation comes amid backlash over remarks made in an episode of India’s Got Latent, featuring YouTuber Ashish Chanchalani, podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia (BeerBiceps), and content creator Apoorva Mukhija, also known as The Rebel Kid.

Last month, reports indicated that Raina’s April shows in Gujarat were also cancelled following outrage over comments made during the episode. The Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) had pointed out that tickets for his Gujarat performances were no longer available on BookMyShow.

Raina, along with Allahbadia and Mukhija, has been facing intense scrutiny since the episode aired. Allahbadia’s remarks on parents and sex sparked major controversy, resulting in widespread criticism and multiple police complaints.

Supreme Court Criticizes Remarks

The Supreme Court recently condemned the comments made on Raina’s show, particularly targeting Allahbadia’s statements. The court called his language “dirty” and reflective of a “pervert mindset”.

Although the top court granted him interim protection, it instructed Allahbadia to cooperate with the investigation.

As the controversy escalates, the impact on Raina’s upcoming shows remains uncertain, with further cancellations a possibility.
