Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, who was hospitalized on January 16 after being attacked during a robbery attempt at his Bandra home, is expected to be discharged from Lilavati Hospital today, January 21. Dr. Nitin Dange confirmed the news, stating that the actor’s discharge paperwork was completed the previous night, and he will leave the hospital between 10 a.m. and noon today. The doctors initially decided that he would be released on Monday but extended the observation for one more day or two.

The actor sustained multiple injuries during the incident but is now said to be stabilizing. Saif was stabbed six times during a burglary attempt at his residence in Satguru Sharan, Pali Hill, Mumbai. The assailant, who had demanded a ransom of Rs 1 crore, attacked Saif when he tried to protect his family. A 2.5-inch knife blade was retrieved from his back after a six-hour surgery.

The attacker has been identified as Shariful Islam Shehzad Mohammad Rohilla Amin Fakir, who had changed his name to Bijoy Das. He was caught two days after the incident, and police recently recovered his fingerprints from Saif’s home, with forensic teams involved in the ongoing investigation.
