In a twist of events, recently elected Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA from Patparganj, Ravinder Negi, has filed a complaint of theft against the former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia, alleging him of stealing office furniture and electronics from his office in the constituency. The accusations have ignited a new political storm.

Allegations of Theft at MLA Office

Negi claimed that when he went to the MLA office in Patparganj, he found that some things, such as air conditioners, televisions, chairs, and tables, were gone. The BJP MLA also accused Sisodia’s team of having stolen those things.

A video posted by Ravinder Negi on his X handle reveals him going to the office, which was once held by Sisodia. In the video, Negi was surprised to see the office empty of any furniture. He added, “Ye dekhiye sab khali. Kursi, table sab le gye. Yeh chor log hain chor. Itni sharm nahi hai inlogon ko jo doosra vidhayak baitheha woh kahaan baithega. Itne Bhrashtachari hain yeh log (Look, nothing is there. Chairs, tables they have taken everything. They (Manish Sisodia and AAP) are thieves. They did not think where will new MLA will sit. These are corrupt people).”

Ravinder Negi Tweets Allegations of Corruption

Ravinder Negi turned to Twitter to once again accuse Manish Sisodia and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of corruption and wrote, “Aam Aadmi Party’s MLA candidate from Patparganj @msisodia showed his true nature even before the election. AC, TV, table, chair, and fan were loot items taken away from the Vidhansabha camp office. Their corruption still hasn’t gone beyond all limits.”. Now, they have become professionals in the art of concealing their reality and looting. We will safeguard the rights of the people and reveal such corrupt individuals.

The BJP MLA also alleged that nearly 250 chairs were missing from the hall of the office. Patparganj constituency was earlier represented by Sisodia, who was the Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi before his resignation after being arrested for the alleged liquor excise policy scam.

BJP Allegations of Digital Theft and Other Charges

In another recent incident, the BJP charged Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal with renaming the official X handle of the Delhi Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) to ‘Arvind Kejriwal at work’ (@kejriwalAtWork). Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva accused Kejriwal of “stealing” the Delhi government’s digital property. The account was subsequently removed, and Sachdeva requested a report from Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena on the alleged renaming.

BJP’s Delhi Assembly Polls Victory

The charges come soon after the BJP’s Delhi assembly poll victory when the saffron party grabbed 48 seats after waiting for 27 years to taste power in the state. The AAP won 22 seats. Despite its victory, the BJP has still not named its next chief minister.
