The troubles of Bhim Army chief and Nagina MP Chandrasekhar may be increasing. PhD scholar Dr. Rohini Ghavri, who had accused him of sexual harassment, on Wednesday threatened to commit suicide. Dr. Rohini, originally from Indore, currently resides in Switzerland.
On Wednesday, she posted on her X account, making serious allegations against Chandrasekhar. She wrote that she might take poison in his name today.
She also requested that her body not be brought back to India, claiming no one listened to her and that the guilty party was being supported. She bid her final farewell to everyone. Rohini said, “Chandrasekhar has ruined my life.” She tagged the Prime Minister’s Office and Prime Minister Narendra Modi in her post.
Dr. Rohini said she has long been demanding that an FIR be filed against Chandrasekhar. She also met the Delhi Police Commissioner and submitted all necessary evidence. However, she claimed that no action has been taken so far.
Three months ago, Rohini first accused Chandrasekhar of sexual harassment and filed a complaint with the National Commission for Women. She said her fight is about self-respect and dignity, and she will not back down. She further alleged that the police are ignoring her complaint because the BJP is protecting Chandrasekhar.
Chandrasekhar has become very popular among Dalit youth in India over the last few years. He gained a significant social media following. In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, he won the Nagina seat in Uttar Pradesh, which further increased his popularity.
