The roof of Jhalawar district’s Piplodi Primary School has collapsed, killing at least four students and injuring several others. The tragedy caused panic and confusion as residents, emergency responders, and officials converged on the scene to begin rescue operations.
“3-4 students killed as the roof of Piplodi Primary School in Jhalawar collapses. Several students injured. When they received the news, Jhalawar Collector and SP Amit Kumar Budania left for the location,” news agency ANI reported SP Jhalawar Amit Kumar as saying.
17 students injured in the incident have been taken to a nearby hospital for medical care, according to authorities. Nurses are tending to the children while worried relatives wait outside the hospital hoping to know about the fate of their loved ones.

Panic Grips Locals as Rescue Efforts Intensify
A video posted by the news agency PTI caught the frenzy of the scene at the site where the building collapsed. Hundreds of villagers are observed standing in a crowd around the rubble, with some attempting to push bricks and debris manually in their desperate efforts to rescue students trapped underneath.
