The great occasion-Republic Day is celebrated every year on January 26 to commemorate the adoption of the Indian Constitution. The country transitioned from a dominion to a republic. The parade was celebrated with grand enthusiasm. Its beginning has been arranged at Raisina Hill near Rashtrapati Bhavan, then along Kartavya Path past India Gate, and concluded at the historic Red Fort.

Parade Timings
The live parade telecast will start from 10:30 AM on 26 January. The Kartavya Path (formerly Rajpath) will witness the day’s function first with Prime Minister Narendra Modi laying the wreath at the National War Memorial. Then, President Droupadi Murmu will hoist the National Flag. President Murmu will then mark the formal beginning of the celebrations.

His Excellency President of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto will also lead an Indonesian contingent during this year’s parade as the chief guest. This perhaps emphasizes the powerful diplomatic relations between India and Indonesia.
Gates to the event open at 7:00 AM, and entry closes by 9:00 AM. Attendees are, therefore, encouraged to get early because there is a traffic restriction in the area.
