The evening of November 10, 2025, turned out to be a day of horror for the public in Delhi, especially those people who were near the Red Fort area.
When a silver Hyundai i20 car had an explosion on Subhash Marg near Gate No. 1 of the Red Fort Metro Station around 7:00 pm.
The blast was exceptionally terrifying, drawing comparisons to the scale of past events like the Pahalgam attack and leaving the crowded street deeply shaken.
The blast was devastating and horrible, killed 13 people and injured 21 as per the update. The sheer force of the explosion had fatal effects: it shattered streetlights, set nearby vehicles ablaze, and tragically, hurled the body of an unidentified victim off the ground, where it was found hanging on a nearby tree.
Red Fort Blast: Body Hanging From a Tree
An unidentified person’s body was found near the Red Fort Metro Station, having been thrown a great distance and left hanging from a nearby tree. Police are working to identify the individual and determine if the body belongs to one of the fatalities.

Red Fort Blast: CCTV Footage
Surveillance cameras around the site provided the police with a crucial sequence of events. A silver Hyundai i20 entered the parking site adjacent to the Sunehri Masjid at 3:19 pm and remained in the site for more than three hours, leaving at 6:48 pm—just minutes before the blast.

A driver with a black face mask was caught on camera. Further study indicated that the masked man was Dr. Umar Mohammad, a fugitive with suspected terror links.
Police immediately zeroed in on another suspect, Dr. Umar Un Nabi from Pulwama, Kashmir, who is believed to have driven the car to detonate the bomb in a “Fidayeen” attack.
Red Fort Blast vs. Faridabad Terror Module
Thus, the Red Fort explosion was directly and swiftly linked to a big Faridabad terror module, which police had uncovered just hours earlier.
This module according to allegations consisted of Dr. Umar Un Nabi and his associates. It was cracked after the Jammu and Kashmir Police recovered a massive 3,000 kg of IED-making material from two residential buildings in Faridabad, Haryana.
Investigators suspect that the car explosion may have been a panicked, suicidal act by Dr. Umar Un Nabi after learning his supply and support network had been exposed and busted.
High Alert in National Capital
The confirmed terror link sent an immediate high alert for Delhi and all the neighboring cities, especially those bordering the National Capital, following the deadly blast.
As a security measure to help in the investigations and control the aftershocks of the incident, DMRC shut down all facilities at the Red Fort Metro Station, closing it for public usage until further notice.
Service Update
Lal Qila Metro Station is closed due to security reasons. All other stations are functional as normal.
