The national capital remains on high alert as police widen their search for those behind the deadly blast near the Red Fort. A red Ford EcoSport has emerged as a key suspect vehicle in the investigation. Multiple police teams are now combing Delhi and neighbouring states to trace it, officials confirmed.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday personally visited the LNJP Hospital to meet the injured victims. His visit came soon after he returned from a trip to Bhutan, reflecting the seriousness with which the government is treating the case.

Manhunt for Red Ford EcoSport Across Delhi-NCR

According to PTI, the Delhi Police have issued a citywide alert across all police stations, checkpoints, and borders.

At least five special teams are on the ground to trace the red Ford EcoSport, which is suspected to have links to the blast.

Neighbouring states, including Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Jammu and Kashmir, have been put on alert to assist in the search.

The car, believed to have been used by the suspects before the explosion, is now a central piece of evidence in the expanding investigation.

PM Modi Visits Blast Victims, Promises Justice

After landing in Delhi, PM Modi drove straight to the LNJP Hospital to check on those injured in the explosion.

He interacted with several survivors and assured them that those responsible for the “heinous act” would face justice.

“The perpetrators will be brought to justice,” PM Modi said during his hospital visit, as per officials.

Officials added that the Prime Minister also received a detailed briefing from doctors and police about the condition of the injured and the ongoing investigation.

Delhi Blast: 10 Dead, 20 Injured So Far

The explosion, which took place near the Red Fort Metro Station, sent shockwaves through Old Delhi.

Police confirmed that 10 people lost their lives, and at least 20 others were injured after a Hyundai i20 car exploded.

The blast’s high intensity damaged nearby shops and vehicles, and rescue teams immediately rushed the injured to LNJP and other hospitals.

Forensic teams are still collecting samples from the blast site to determine the type of explosive used.

Probe Expands Beyond Delhi

The Delhi Police Special Cell and National Investigation Agency (NIA) have expanded the probe to multiple states.

Investigators are also checking possible terror links connected to the Faridabad terror module.

On Wednesday, the Haryana STF visited Al-Falah University in Dhauj, Faridabad, where three suspects reportedly worked.

Sources said the investigation teams are verifying CCTV footage and mobile records to trace the suspects’ movement across NCR.

Security Tightened in the Capital

Security has been stepped up across key landmarks in Delhi, including metro stations, government offices, and tourist spots.

Senior police officials have urged citizens to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity.

The capital continues to remain tense, as the search for the red Ford EcoSport — and the men behind the blast — enters a critical phase.
