In a chilling and fatal incident from Haryana, a bunch of underage kids were caught on camera driving a Hyundai Venue in a rash manner through a village, endangering many lives. The incident, which took place on July 16, went viral on Instagram after it came to light through video footage how narrowly two people, one of whom was a tiny kid, avoided getting crushed.

The clip starts with a local man trying to pedal along a narrow alleyway on his bicycle, before being brought to a stop as the car careens along the road towards him. He barely escapes a collision, emerging unscathed just in time.

Later, another young boy is spotted leaping into the safety of a doorway, avoiding the runaway vehicle by mere inches. A kid also escaped by a matter of milliseconds, as he leapt into an open door, while the car crashed into parked two-wheelers.”

The visibly out-of-control car crashes into several parked two-wheelers as it zooms down the lane. A second view from the CCTV footage clearly indicates that the children inside had no idea how to operate the brakes. “Car continued speeding by because the kids inside did not know how to press the brakes.” Two more children, who were on the other side of the road, are running to save themselves.

The car finally stops after colliding with a parked bicycle alongside a house. Dismayed locals dash out to witness what had occurred, to find the drivers were, amazingly, two little boys. One of the children throws open the door and starts crying, managed to get a slight injury. He sprints off to his mother, who happened to be on the scene, and clings to her, visibly shaken.

He immediately ran to his mother, who was present and embraced the little one nervously, aware a lot worse could’ve occurred.” The second child, although not hurt, is clearly worried and calls over his sobbing friend.

Fortunately, no one was seriously injured. But the disturbing episode threw into question adult supervision. How did these children sneak onto a moving car without anyone seeing? Where were the caretakers when this happened? The incident has fueled debate on parental neglect. “While children at their age had no idea of what they were doing, the incident came out as a true parenting failure.”
