Authorities in Jammu and Kashmir have detained 50 individuals in relation to the recent terrorist attack on a pilgrims’ bus in the Kanda area of Reasi. The attack, which occurred on June 9, resulted in nine deaths after terrorists opened fire on the bus, causing it to fall into a gorge.
According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Reasi, Mohita Sharma, the detentions were made following an investigation led by the Kanda Area Police Station. Significant progress has been made in identifying and capturing those potentially involved in orchestrating the attack.
Search operations have been extended to Arnas and Mahore to gather more evidence and apprehend any terrorists in hiding. The SSP urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the authorities.
The region has seen a surge in violence with multiple terror attacks, including in Reasi, Kathua, and Doda. The authorities are committed to bringing the perpetrators to justice and ensuring the safety of residents and visitors.
