Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu launched a scathing attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Sunday over his recent remarks in the USA, accusing him of siding with enemies of India. Bittu claimed that Gandhi is “not an Indian” and should be considered the “country’s number 1 terrorist.”

Bittu’s harsh comments came after Gandhi’s remarks in Virginia, where he addressed concerns about the rights of Sikhs in India. Bittu said, “Rahul Gandhi is not an Indian; he has spent most of his time abroad. He does not love his country because he goes overseas and speaks negatively about India. Separatists, wanted criminals, and bomb-making experts have praised what he said. The country’s enemies, who try to destroy infrastructure, are supporting him. Rahul Gandhi is the biggest enemy of the country whom agencies should catch.”

The comments sparked a response from Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit, who condemned Bittu’s statements. Dikshit said, “We can only pity such people. His political career in Congress was a mess. He used to praise Rahul Gandhi, and now, after joining the BJP, he’s trying to show his loyalty to the party.”

Bittu’s attack followed remarks made by Gandhi in the USA, where he spoke about the challenges faced by Sikhs in India. “The fight is about whether a Sikh will be allowed to wear a turban in India, whether they can wear a kada, or go to a Gurdwara. That’s what the fight is about, not just for Sikhs, but for all religions,” Gandhi said during his visit to Virginia.

Gandhi also criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi, claiming that the “fear” of the Prime Minister had disappeared after the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. “PM Modi tried to create an environment of fear using various agencies and departments, but after the election, that fear vanished in an instant. The idea of PM Modi’s 56-inch chest and divine connection is history now,” Gandhi stated.

During his visit to the USA, Rahul Gandhi interacted with students and teachers at the University of Texas and addressed members of the Indian diaspora in Dallas and Virginia.
