Senior leaders from Cognizant held a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday to explore ways to speed up India’s adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) and strengthen the country’s education and skill-building ecosystem.
In a post on X, Cognizant shared details of the conversation, writing, “Our CEO, Ravi Kumar S along with Rajesh Varrier, Chairman & Managing Director, Cognizant India had the distinct privilege of meeting with the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, for an inspiring conversation on accelerating AI adoption and advancing education and skill development to enhance AI capabilities and productivity.”

Cognizant Reiterates Long-Term Commitment to India
During the meeting, CEO Ravi Kumar S highlighted Cognizant’s long-standing partnership with India and confirmed that the company plans to expand into more emerging cities. This expansion, he said, will support India’s efforts to create balanced economic growth and help develop local talent capable of contributing to the country’s digital economy.
Cognizant wrote in its post, “Our CEO also reaffirmed to the Prime Minister Cognizant’s continued commitment to India and apprised him of our plans to expand into emerging cities to promote equitable growth and talent development.”
The discussion also emphasised how AI can boost productivity, strengthen innovation, and power India’s overall economic progress.
