Influencer and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia responded to the outrage over his recent remarks on Samay Raina’s YouTube show ‘India’s Got Latent.’ In response to reports that he had gone into hiding, Ranveer Allahbadia made a statement on his social media account on Instagram. The post indicates that he is working with authorities and will not be going anywhere.

Allahbadia’s remarks regarding parents and sex, made on Raina‘s now-deleted show, had caused huge public outrage. Subsequently, Mumbai Police stated that they could not find the influencer, as his Versova home was closed and his phone was unavailable.

Ranveer Allahbadia Assures He is Not Running Away

In his statement, Allahbadia accepted that his comment was “insensitive and disrespectful,” holding himself fully responsible for what he had said. He said that his team and he are cooperating with the police and all other authorities.

“My team and I are cooperating with the police and all other authorities. I will follow due process and be available to all agencies.”

He also stated that he had received death threats and was in fear of the circumstances. In addition, he also claimed that some people had entered his mother’s clinic, claiming to be patients.

“I’m scared; I don’t know what to do. But I’m not leaving. I have complete trust in the police and the Indian judicial system.”

Even after Allahbadia’s public announcement, Mumbai Police had previously declared that they couldn’t get through to him. Several reports indicate that officials from Mumbai Police went to his house in Versova, Mumbai. They found the house closed, and Ranveer’s phone was still off.

What’s Next for Ranveer Allahbadia?

With public opinion remaining agitated, it is yet to be seen how the case will take shape. In the meantime, Allahbadia’s promise of cooperation indicates his readiness to deal with the problem legally and ethically.
