Rajasthan Police arrests all 5 accused in Sikar shootout

Ashok Gehlot, Chief Minister of Rajasthan informed on Sunday that all the five persons accused in the Sikar gang war shootout have been arrested along with their weapons and vehicles.

CM Gehlot tweeted, “Five accused of yesterday’s murder case in Sikar have been arrested along with their weapons and vehicles. A speedy trial of all these accused will be ensured by the court to ensure severe punishment at the earliest.”

Umesh Mishra, Director General of Rajasthan Police told the media that the two accused persons namely Manish and Vikram hailed from Rajasthan, while the other three brlonged to Haryana.

“We have detained five persons accused in yesterday’s gang war wherein one history sheeter Raju Thet was killed. Two of them have been identified as Manish and Vikram of Rajasthan, while the other three hailed from Haryana,” Umesh Mishra said.

He added that the case could be successfully handled as a result of the nightlong search operation conducted by the Superintendent of Police (SP) and Inspector General of Sikar (IG).

Four guys shot and killed the gangster Raju Thet on Saturday in the Sikar district of Rajasthan. He was on bail and was facing numerous criminal charges. He was the adversary of notorious felon Anandpal Singh, who was killed by police in a shootout in June 2017.

In Sikar and the neighbouring districts, a sizable police presence was also present, and the police had built roadblocks and were inspecting vehicles.

Following the gunfire, a user going by the name of Rohit Godara posted on Facebook that he was the one who had killed Thet.

Godara stated on Facebook that he is a part of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and that the murder was carried out as retaliation for the attack on the criminals Anandpal Singh and Balbir Banuda. In his tweet, the user also addressed the gangsters Ankit Bhadoo and Monu Bana by name.
