The Vedanta Pink City Half Marathon began on Sunday morning in the Jagatpura neighborhood of the city, officiated by Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma.
Over 12,000 people participated in the marathon, which had the theme “Run for Zero Hunger,” according to a statement. According to Sharma, the youth of the state ought to make a commitment to maintain Rajasthan’s position as the top state in the nation.
“Marathons are a testament to the power of communities coming together to race towards positive changes. It is much more than a celebration of sporting excellence,” Priya Agarwal Hebbar, Non-Executive Director, Vedanta and Chairperson.
