Rahul to visit Uttarakhand, to address rally in Almora, also visit Md Deepak’s Hulk Gym

Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi will be on two days visit to Uttarakhand, with a public meeting planned in Almora on Thursday besides other meetings and also visit Mohammad Deepak’s Hulk Gym, which has been facing financial crisis. 

According to Congress leaders, Rahul Gandhi will be on two days visit to Uttarakhand, as he will be meeting several party leaders and taking feedback for the upcoming assembly elections early next year. 

The party leader said that Rahul Gandhi will be addressing a public meeting in Almora at 11 a.m. and then he will meet the ex servicemen in the afternoon. 

The party leader also said that the former Congress chief will also visit the Hulk Gym of Mohammad Deepak in Kotdwar around 3 p.m. 

Deepak had earlier met Rahul Gandhi at his residence in Delhi in February this year. 

Party leader said that the Gandhi scion is also likely to take membership of his gym, as he has been financial issues. 

Deepak rose to fame in January rhisnyear as he stood up for an elderly Muslim man when some of the members of the Bajrang Dal during a confrontation in Kotdwar.

Following the confrontation with the Bajrang Dal members, Deepak’s gym has faced scrutiny as he has lost over several of membership. He has also been facing difficulty in paying rent for his Hulk Gym for last three to four months and has been asked by the owner to vacate the premises. 

In February, Deepak had met Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who publicly praised his courage, described his gym as a “mohabbat ki dukaan” (shop of love), and promised to take up membership at the gym.

Rahul Gandhi’s visit to the state is being seen crucial ahead of the assembly polls early next year. 

During his two days programme, he will also meet several state leaders and take the feedback for the preparations.
