Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann was admitted to Fortis Hospital, Mohali, on Friday evening after he complained of exhaustion and a low heart rate. According to the hospital’s statement, doctors immediately assessed his vitals and stabilized his condition. Mann, 51, is now under medical observation and his pulse rate has improved.

The hospital said, “Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann was brought to Fortis Hospital, Mohali, after he complained of exhaustion and low heart rate. On arrival, his vitals were assessed and have since been stabilised.”

Doctors Monitoring His Health

The hospital confirmed that Mann is responding to treatment. “Our medical team continues to closely monitor his condition,” the statement added. Sources earlier revealed that Mann had been suffering from viral fever, and when his condition did not improve, he was taken to the hospital for further care.

Kejriwal Visits Mann Amid Health Concerns

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener Arvind Kejriwal visited Mann at his official residence on Thursday to check on his health. Kejriwal had arrived in Punjab to review the flood situation and was scheduled to visit flood-hit areas with Mann.

However, due to Mann’s illness, Kejriwal went ahead alone and visited Sultanpur Lodhi in Kapurthala district.

Bhagwant Mann Health History

This is not the first time the Punjab CM has faced health issues. Last year, he was diagnosed with a bacterial infection and was admitted to the same hospital in Mohali for treatment.

Cabinet Meeting Postponed

A cabinet meeting chaired by Mann was scheduled for Friday, but had to be postponed after he fell ill. The meeting was supposed to discuss relief and rescue measures for Punjab, which is struggling with severe floods.

Punjab Floods Crisis

Punjab has been reeling under floods for several weeks. According to officials, the death toll rose to 43 on Thursday. Rescue operations and relief measures remain the state government’s top priority.

As of now, Bhagwant Mann remains under observation at Fortis Hospital. His condition has stabilized, and doctors are continuing to monitor his recovery closely.
