Pro-Khalistan graffiti has been discovered on the boundary wall of a government school in Uttam Nagar’s Hastsal area of Delhi. Visuals released by a leading news agency depict slogans supporting Khalistan prominently displayed on the school’s wall, with Delhi police officers at the scene.
An ongoing police investigation aims to identify and apprehend the individuals responsible for the pro-Khalistan messages. The incident comes ahead of Republic Day, raising security concerns in the capital.
This follows a recent incident where pro-Khalistan graffiti appeared on a pillar in Nihal Vihar, west Delhi. An FIR was filed in connection with the incident, as authorities remain vigilant in the lead-up to national events.
In a separate incident from September, a flyover in Kashmere Gate, north Delhi, was defaced with pro-Khalistani graffiti, prompting the Delhi Police to register a case. The graffiti, bearing the inscription “SJF, January 26, Khalistan,” has led to an intensified effort by law enforcement agencies to identify those responsible.
Earlier in August, pro-Khalistan messages surfaced on the walls of five Delhi Metro stations, leading to the arrest of two individuals from Punjab by the Delhi Police’s Special Cell. These incidents underscore the need for increased vigilance and security measures to curb the propagation of separatist ideologies and maintain public safety.
