Priyanka Gandhi not Rahul should be the Congress PM candidate: Acharya Pramod Krishnan in interview with Rana Yashwant

Q: Why do you seem to be at a distance from Rahul Gandhi and close to Priyanka Gandhi, away from Ashok Gehlot and close to Sachin Payal, a little different from Congress and a little away from the BJP. Why are you with two faces?
A: It is not so. I am right in my place. My problem is that I speak the truth. I say what I think is right. I am opposed even within my party because many times, I am not only on the party line but also with the right.
Q: If you are so right, then on what basis do you say that Priyanka Gandhi should be made the PM candidate?
A: That is because Priyanka Gandhi is popular, trustworthy and a big face in the country both on the side and the opposition.
Q: But for the party, Rahul Gandhi is the prime ministerial candidate.
A: Rahul ji is a very big leader of the party. He has given up. He is a very nice person.
Q: But he should not become PM?
A: I am saying that Priyanka ji should become PM. If you really want to fight against Modi ji and prepare his alternative, then Priyanka Gandhi is the only face.
Q: Where do you see Rahul Gandhi?
A: Rahul ji is a great leader, a very generous and good person and a leader who makes sacrifices. But they have big conspiracies about which will be known much later. The loss is, however, done today.
Q: You are talking very big. But tell whether this conspiracy took place inside the party or outside the Congress?
A: Those who are outside are visible. Conspiracy against Rahul ji is being done by those who are inside.
Q: In Rajasthan, it seems that there has been a talk between Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot. Who should become the CM after the elections?
A: Of course Sachin Pilot. Gehlot ji is a big leader but his time has passed. The election was contested last time under the leadership of Sachin Pilot but he was not made the CM. Kamal Nath was the president in Rajasthan but he became the CM. In Chhattisgarh, Bhupesh Baghel was the state president, he was also made the CM, but this did not happen with Sachin.
Q: What if Ashok Gehlot created a situation to form the government after the elections and did not allow Pilot to become the CM?
A: The party high command will have to think about this.
Q: The opposition is mobilising against Modi. Congress is also in it. A meeting took place. The next one is also going to happen.
A: The opposition cannot be united.
Q: why so?
A: When hearts don’t meet, you can’t do anything by joining forces.
Q: You mean the opposition leaders don’t have the heart or the will to get together to fight ?
A: absolutely
Q: Then the efforts that Nitish Kumar is making to bring everyone together are futile. He must have been thinking that if there is scope then he can become PM.
A: Nitish Kumar’s credibility is over. When he was with Lalu Yadav, he was cursing the BJP. When he was with BJP, he was calling Lalu Yadav good and bad. It is better to make Modi the PM than making him the PM.
Q: Sharad Pawar was considered the pivot of opposition unity. He was also uniting the opposition like Nitish Kumar, his party itself split.
A: It is dangerous to trust nephews. By the way, when Sharad ji had resigned from the post of president, he should not have come under pressure, should not have withdrawn his resignation. He made a mistake by taking back his resignation.
Q: You praise Narendra Modi many times. What is intention? When he was in America, you had said that our flag should remain high, even on the inauguration of the Parliament building, you had separated from your party line.
A: You tell me whether the PM is of the country or of the BJP. If India’s glory increases in America, it is not because of the PM, it is because of India. If the Prime Minister of India does not inaugurate the Parliament House, will the Prime Minister of Pakistan?
Q: Tell me one thing, what is your prediction in 2024 elections? How many seats should Congress get?
A: It is difficult to say. But if anyone can compete with Modi, then it is only Congress and it should fight elections alone in the whole country.
