In response to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statement that Congress leaders were “running out” of the party, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra retaliated, saying that the BJP is already “out by hit-wicket,” using a cricket metaphor.

Addressing a public rally in Rajasthan, she emphasised that the Congress is confident of winning in Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh, and if voted to power, the party would focus on welfare schemes for the people of Rajasthan.

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra highlighted the unity within the Congress, contrasting it with the perceived disintegration of the BJP in Rajasthan, where senior leaders have been marginalised.

She urged the voters to support the Congress to ensure the continuation of progress initiated by the party’s government for the next five years. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra cautioned against the BJP’s use of religion for political gains, stressing the importance of leaders prioritising service to the people over religious considerations.

She questioned why the BJP was not seeking votes based on development achievements, citing the lack of significant accomplishments during the BJP’s 18-year rule in Madhya Pradesh.

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra criticised the BJP policies for favouring the wealthy while neglecting the poor and the middle class, attributing rising inequality to the BJP-led Central government’s actions. She accused the BJP of failing to address inflation and unemployment, pointing out the government’s inaction in controlling essential commodity prices.
