Prime Minister Narendra Modi to visit Kashmir on June 21, marking his first visit since assuming office for a third consecutive term to participate in a Yoga event in Srinagar on International Yoga Day.
The Jammu and Kashmir administration, led by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, has issued a high alert ahead of Modi’s visit, while the Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council has been directed to oversee the arrangements for the Yoga Day event.
The Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council has been tasked with gathering 3,000 sportsmen for the occasion. Additionally, security teams have been actively visiting the venue to ensure comprehensive security arrangements.
Athletes has also started preparing for the event to welcome the PM here. “It is a special occasion and honor for us in Kashmir to host Modiji, who became the PM for the third time,” said Zubair Ahmad Dar & Mudasir Wani.
Modi’s last visit to Srinagar was in March this year, when he addressed an election rally in Bakhshi stadium, attended by thousands of people.
