Arunachal Police arrests prime accused in Khonsa jailbreak

A squad from Tirap police station and the Arunachal Pradesh Police Special Task Force on Monday apprehended NSCN-K (Niki Sumi faction) cadre Roksen Homcha, the main suspect in the Khonsa jailbreak.

The accused was carrying a Rs 1 lakh reward on his hat. The NSCN-K (Niki Sumi faction) cadre apprehended from the surrounding region of Borduria police station in Tirap district, according to Rohit Rajbir Singh, Superintendent of Police, SIT of Arunachal Pradesh.
“He was the main suspect in the Khonsa jailbreak that resulted in the death of Lieutenant Wangniam Bosai,” said Rohit Rajbir Singh.
Following the jailbreak incident, the Arunachal Pradesh police declared a Rs 1 lakh reward for each of the criminals involved.

“The reward will be given to anyone who can provide accurate information that leads to the criminals’ arrest.The name of the informant will be kept secret,” stated Arunachal Pradesh police PRO.
