President Murmu to grace Karbi Youth Festival-2024 in Assam on Jan 17

Karbi Youth Festival is an annual celebration that brings thousands of Karbi youth from Assam and other parts of the nation. The festival is a blend of art, music, dance and authentic tribal food.

The upcoming Karbi festival will be held from January 12, 2024 to January 17, 2024 at Taralangso, Diphu, in Assam’s Karbi Anglong district. The event will be graciously attended by President Draupadi Murmu on January 17, 2024. Its important to note that the upcoming Karbi Youth Festival will mark its golden jubilee.

Tuliram Ronghang, Chief Executive Member of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), said, “President Droupadi Murmu has consented to attend as Chief Guest at the Golden Jubilee celebration of the Karbi Youth Festival 2024 on January 17, 2024, at noon.”

Ronghang further mentioned that Governor of Assam Gulab Chand Kataria, Governor of Meghalaya Phagu Chauhan, La Ganesan, Governor of Nagaland, Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, and Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma will also attend the programme.

Tuliram Ronghang also posted on X regarding the same. The note read, “I am happy to announce that President Droupadi Murmu has consented to attend as Chief Guest at the Golden Jubilee celebration of the Karbi Youth Festival 2024 on the 17th of January 2024 at noon, along with the Assam Governor Gulab Chand Kataria, Governor of Meghalaya Phagu Chauhan, La Ganesan, Hon’ble Governor of Nagaland, Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, Chief Minister of Assam, Neiphiu Rio, Chief Minister of Nagaland, and Conrad K Sangma, Chief Minister of Meghalaya.
