Concern is growing among devotees over the health of Premanand Ji Maharaj, the revered spiritual leader known for his deep devotion and inspiring sermons. A new video shared on his official Instagram account, bhajanmarg_official, has gone viral, showing the saint continuing his spiritual discourse despite his frail condition.
People from across India and abroad visit Vrindavan to meet Premanand Ji Maharaj. His teachings on spiritual and worldly life have touched millions. Through his satsangs, he provides simple guidance on how to live with devotion and discipline.
However, recent media reports suggest that Maharaj Ji’s health has deteriorated. Due to this, his regular padayatra (spiritual walk) has been suspended indefinitely. This has saddened his followers, who are now praying for his recovery.
In the viral video, Maharaj Ji is seen sitting before his devotees, delivering his message even in visible discomfort. His eyes appear swollen, barely opening, and his face looks red and puffed. The absence of his usual sandalwood tilak and his trembling voice have deeply moved viewers.
Yet, despite his condition, the saint continues his discourse late into the night. In the video, he explains why he keeps serving devotees even in pain.
He says, “Yeh hamara abhyas ban gaya hai. Hum kitne kasht mein kyon na ho yeh nahi chhootata hai.” (This has become our habit. No matter how much pain we are in, it never stops.)
He continues, “Hum jab tak apne aaradhya ko yaad nahi kar lete, hume chain nahi padta hai. Ishwar aapka shram dekhkar khush hote hain, kaamchori se nahi. Ishwar aapka shram dekhte hain tabhi vah haath pakadte hain.” (Until we remember our deity, we cannot find peace. God is pleased when He sees your effort, not your laziness. When He sees your hard work, He extends His hand to help you.)
The video has sparked an emotional wave online. Devotees flooded the comment section with prayers and heartfelt messages. One follower wrote, “Guruji thoda aaram kar lijiye. Aapko is haalat mein dekhkar man mein kasht hota hai.” (Guruji, please take some rest. It hurts to see you in this condition.)
Another said, “Yeh chehra dekhkar hum logon ka chehra bhi khil jaata tha aur aaj yeh chehra dekhkar peeda ho rahi hai.” (This face once made us smile, but today it brings us pain.)
Premanand Ji Maharaj’s health issues date back to 2006. He had severe abdominal pain and underwent a medical checkup in Kanpur, where doctors diagnosed him with Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) — a hereditary kidney disorder. Later, in Delhi, doctors confirmed that both of his kidneys were damaged and that his life expectancy was limited.
Afterward, he moved to Vrindavan. Earlier, he lived in Kashi, devoted to Lord Shiva. But in Vrindavan, he began chanting the name of Radha and has continued ever since. Out of devotion, he even named his kidneys “Krishna” and “Radha.”
As news of his health spreads, millions of devotees have started praying for his well-being. Social media is filled with emotional messages and prayers from followers who hope that their beloved saint recovers soon.
Premanand Ji Maharaj’s unwavering devotion, even in pain, continues to inspire people worldwide. His strength and faith remind everyone that true service to God never stops — not even in suffering.
