April 2024: Case Comes to Light

The case was brought to light in April 2024, prompting public outrage. Subsequently, the woman was allegedly abducted in an effort to keep her quiet.

She was said to have been taken on the instructions of Prajwal's parents, ex-minister H.D. Revanna and Bhavani Revanna, in order to prevent her from giving evidence against their son.

Rescue Operation and SIT Involvement

A Special Investigation Team (SIT) was constituted by Additional Director-General of Police (CID), B.K. Singh, to investigate the case. The team busted the survivor from a farmhouse at K.R. Nagar where she had supposedly been kept under confinement.
