PM Modi’s Roadshow Set to Light Up Ayodhya Ahead of Elections

As part of his campaigning for the ongoing Lok Sabha elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, on Sunday, May 5, as per party sources announced on Friday.

They stated that during his visit, PM Modi is anticipated to conduct a roadshow endorsing BJP candidate Lallu Singh in the Faizabad Lok Sabha constituency and pay homage at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.

Additionally, they mentioned that PM Modi will lead a roadshow in Ayodhya covering a distance of approximately two kilometers during his visit.

Ayodhya will vote in the fifth phase of the Lok Sabha elections on May 20. The elections are being held in seven phases until June 1, with the counting of votes scheduled for June 4.

The sacred city is ready to greet the prime minister with grandeur and enthusiasm. This will mark PM Modi’s second roadshow in Ayodhya in the past five months.

Before the official inauguration of Maharishi Valmiki International Airport on December 30, 2023, PM Modi led an extensive roadshow.

Across all seven phases of the parliamentary elections, Uttar Pradesh, with the highest number of Lok Sabha seats, remains the key battleground. The voting process for 16 out of the 80 seats in Uttar Pradesh has already been completed in the initial two phases.

In the 2019 general elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) secured victory in 62 out of the 80 seats in Uttar Pradesh. Additionally, it gained two seats won by its ally, the Apna Dal (S). Mayawati’s BSP secured victory in ten seats, while Akhilesh Yadav’s SP won five seats. In contrast, the Congress party only managed to secure one seat.
