Prime Minister Narendra Modi undertook an aerial survey of the landslide-affected areas in Wayanad, Kerala, before physically visiting the disaster site. During the survey, he examined the origin of the landslide at Iruvazhinji Puzha (River) and assessed the worst-hit areas of Punchirimattam, Mundakkai, and Chooralmala.

The Prime Minister’s visit is part of a broader effort to understand the extent of the damage and coordinate relief measures for the affected communities. The aerial survey allowed him to gain a comprehensive view of the disaster’s impact before arriving on the ground to meet with local officials and residents.
